Katrina Kaif will not do what Kareena Kapoor has done
It was Katrina Kaif’s chance to do a Zoobie Doobie in the Tamil version of the super duper hit film 3 Idiots. She was approached by the Gemini Films Circuit to play Kareena’s role in the remake but the actress refused to do the film citing “date problems”.
The production house has bought the rights of the film from Vidhu Vinod Chopra for an amount between Rs 10-12 crore, had a meeting with Katrina and was keen to sign her. However, Katrina has a packed schedule this year with Dostana 2 and a Zoya Akhtar film after she is done with Rajneeti.
The producers are remaking the film on a very big budget and have roped in south superstar Vijay to essay Aamir Khan’s role. After Katrina declined, they approached Kareena, who also backed out saying she’d no dates. The production house is also working on the Telugu remake of the film.
